The Believe Foundation participated in a 3-day Project Design and Management and Training of Trainers workshop delivered by Peace Corps Georgia with more than 30 participants from across the CSO sector in Georgia. The goal of the workshop was that volunteers and Project Counterparts have opportunities to develop a shared understanding of concepts, strategies, and skills for project design and management, and its implementation in their communities. The sessions included PACA Tools, Gender Analysis, Priority Matrix, Teambuilding Activities, Steps on Project Planning, Small Grants Program etc. Believe Foundation, in coordination with their Peace Corps Volunteer, is utilizing this opportunity to design new and innovative projects to bring back to the Poti Community. We are always learning new ways to support our community. Be sure to follow our projects throughout this next year to see how we’ve applied our new knowledge!

The Believe Foundation launched a Computer Lab Project sponsored by Peace Corps Georgia.

The goal of this project was to increase the computer skills of youth in the Poti area by providing training on and access to computers. The students have learnt new skills such as Microsoft Office, photo and video editing,, internet safety, and basic researching. The participants had time to practice these skills on the 4 laptops provided by Peace Corps.

"I believe that these computer trainings will open many doors in the lives of youth in areas such as preparation for university and employability" - said Randi Deighton, Computer Lab Project Coordinator and Peace Corps Volunteer in Georgia. "This is also a great opportunity for Believe's volunteers to sharpen their skills in public speaking, translating, and program management" - she added.

The Believe Housing Campaign, which aims to improve the housing conditions for socially vulnerable and disabled people, has been successfully fulfilled through the tireless work of Believe Team during last two months.

18 socially vulnerable families were supplied by new furniture, consumer and necessary household goods and appliances by the Believe Foundation during the housing campaign. Moreover, up to 6 families that live in desperate conditions, have been provided with rehabilitation works to their properties. Namely, there has been conducted the replacement of windows, floors and roofs during the repair works.

As a result, the Housing Campaign improved the housing conditions for more than 65 individuals living in extreme poverty. The beneficiaries of the campaign were defined in collaboration with Poti Social Service. We thank every donor organization and individual benefactor for the great support. Together, we improve the lives of people in need!
