The Believe Foundation launched a Computer Lab Project sponsored by Peace Corps Georgia.
The goal of this project was to increase the computer skills of youth in the Poti area by providing training on and access to computers. The students have learnt new skills such as Microsoft Office, photo and video editing,, internet safety, and basic researching. The participants had time to practice these skills on the 4 laptops provided by Peace Corps.
"I believe that these computer trainings will open many doors in the lives of youth in areas such as preparation for university and employability" - said Randi Deighton, Computer Lab Project Coordinator and Peace Corps Volunteer in Georgia. "This is also a great opportunity for Believe's volunteers to sharpen their skills in public speaking, translating, and program management" - she added.
