“Youth for social initiative” is an educational project aiming to raise awareness on social issues among youth by gaining new experiences and implementing various activities in Poti.
The project involved 20 youngsters and 5 mentors from various schools and business organisatons. The participants worked to create social projects for two months. Within the framework of the contest, 3 winners were announced. Two teams won prizes and got financial support to implement their project. One of the projects was funded by Gigi Katsaridze a jury member.
“Our goal was to engage youngsters and implement this project together. The participants had to study the case deeply and look at it in a local context. I believe youth can bring positive changes in the community and improve the lives of people around through engaging in similar projects.” said Nino Mirtskhulava, one of the project mentors.
